Balance Ball Practice Gone Wrong in the School Gym
Join Aira and Mei as their balance ball practice turns into chaos, laughter, teasing boys, and clashes with villain girls, all inside the school gym during a fun after-school moment.

Balancing Trouble in the Gym
The Balance Ball Challenge Begins
Aira and Mei were the first ones inside the school gymnasium that afternoon. Their class had ended early, and the wide, empty gym calling them to play was too tempting to resist.
Rows of sports equipment lined the walls. Jump ropes. Yoga mats. Hula hoops. And right there in the center were two big balance balls. They were glossy, round, and bright blue, almost shining under the gym lights.
Aira pointed at them with a grin.
“Ay, Mei, look. Balance balls.”
Mei laughed. “You want to try standing on them again? Remember last time you almost died?”
Aira placed her hands on her hips. “Hindi ako almost namatay. I just lost balance a little.”
Mei shook her head. “You rolled like a potato.”
Aira smirked. “Well, today I won’t.”
The girls dragged the balls to the middle of the gym, placed them side by side, and took a deep breath.
Aira climbed up first, carefully pressing one foot on the wobbly surface. The ball shifted slightly. She steadied herself, arms stretched out, face determined.
Mei hopped on her own ball right after, wobbling instantly.
“Kyaa! Wait, wait, wait!” Mei flailed.
Aira laughed. “Balance your weight. You look like a scared chicken.”
Mei puffed her cheeks. “I am a very cute chicken.”
Both of them slowly pushed up until they were standing fully on top of their balance balls. They wobbled, regained their footing, wobbled again, then steadied.
And just like that, they were both up.
Aira raised her hands confidently. “See? Easy.”
Mei grinned proudly. “We look cool!”
They balanced. They swayed. They fought the gravity pulling them down. Their skirts fluttered slightly as they stood on the bouncing surface, struggling to stay tall.
For a few precious seconds, it felt like victory.
Then gravity returned to collect its debt.
Aira’s ball wobbled to the left. Mei’s ball wobbled to the right. The two girls blinked at each other.
“Oh no,” Aira whispered.
“Oh no,” Mei echoed.
The balls slipped from under them.
Aira rolled backward.
Mei rolled forward.
And both girls landed on the floor with a soft thud, legs in the air.
There was a short silence, then—
“HAHAHAHAHA!”
They burst out laughing so hard that their stomachs hurt.
Aira clutched her side. “My life flashed before my eyes!”
Mei kicked her feet. “I look like a frog! I swear I look like a frog!”
Their laughter echoed through the gym.
But they weren’t alone.
The Boys Start Teasing
A group of boys from Class 2A had just entered the gym for their after-school activity. They stopped upon seeing the two girls sprawled on the floor.
Riku, the loudest among the boys, grinned wide.
“Oyyy! Aira! Mei! Practicing circus tricks?”
Aira sat up instantly. “Shut up, Riku.”
Riku pointed at them dramatically. “Wearing skirts while doing balance ball? Dangerous yan. Highly dangerous.”
Another boy, Kenji, crossed his arms with a smirk. “We saw everything.”
Aira’s face burned. “Saw what?”
Kenji shrugged innocently. “You know. Everything.”
Mei covered her face. “No no no nooooo. Why are boys like this?”
The boys laughed even harder.
Aira stood up and brushed off her skirt. “You guys are so annoying.”
Riku put a hand on his ear dramatically. “Wait, do that again. We didn’t catch the good angle.”
Aira picked up a hula hoop and threw it at him.
“GET OUT!”
The boys dodged it while laughing, clearly enjoying teasing them.
The Villain Girls Arrive
Just when the girls thought the embarrassment was over, another group entered the gym.
The atmosphere changed instantly.
Three girls walked in with matching steps: Reina, Mika, and Satsuki. They were known around the school as the “Perfect Trio”. They were tall, smart, popular, and beautiful… but most importantly, they were always annoyed when someone else had attention.
Reina, the leader, flicked her hair and narrowed her eyes.
“Aira, Mei. Why are you two rolling on the floor like kindergarten kids?”
Mika crossed her arms. “Hindi ba kayo nahihiya? You’re making the gym look messy.”
Satsuki pointed at the balance balls. “You two stood on those? While wearing skirts? Seriously?”
Aira sighed loudly. “Can we just have fun without you three ruining the mood?”
Reina smirked. “Fun? More like stupid.”
Mei stepped forward, still holding her balance ball. “Hey, we’re not hurting anyone.”
Reina shrugged. “You’re hurting our eyes.”
The boys from earlier suddenly stood straighter, quietly observing the tension.
Aira clenched her fists. “We’re just practicing balance. No big deal.”
Mika tapped her chin. “Practicing failure?”
Satsuki laughed. “They fell so hard even the floor felt it.”
Aira could feel heat rising in her cheeks, partly embarrassment, partly anger.
Mei whispered, “Aira… don’t punch them.”
Aira whispered back, “Who said anything about punching?”
Mei sighed. “Your face said it.”
Reina took a step closer and smirked cruelly.
“If you’re going to embarrass yourselves, at least close your legs next time. Everyone saw.”
The boys choked.
Mei turned red. “CAN WE PLEASE STOP TALKING ABOUT THAT!”
Aira exhaled slowly. “Okay, Reina. You warmed up? Good. Now get away from me.”
Reina raised an eyebrow. “Excuse me?”
Aira forced a smile. “We’re practicing. Leave.”
Reina opened her mouth to argue but Mr. Sato, the PE teacher, suddenly entered the gym.
Mr. Sato Almost Walks Into Chaos
“What is going on here?”
Everyone froze.
Mr. Sato walked in holding a clipboard, his dark hair a bit messy from the wind outside. He always had that calm, composed aura… but right now, his eyes narrowed at the crowd.
Aira whispered, “Oh no.”
Mei whispered back, “Act normal.”
Reina instantly changed her face from villain to angel. “Sensei, we were just checking on the gym.”
Mr. Sato nodded slowly. “I see. And why are people gathered around shouting?”
Silence.
Mr. Sato turned to Aira and Mei. “You two. Why are there balance balls on the floor?”
Aira swallowed. “Umm… we were practicing.”
Mei whispered, “Fun practice.”
Aira elbowed her lightly.
Mr. Sato crossed his arms. “Practicing what exactly?”
Aira held her breath.
Mei whispered again, “Tell him the truth.”
Aira whispered back, “The truth is stupid.”
Mei hissed, “Just say it!”
Aira sighed loudly. “We were… trying to stand on them.”
Mr. Sato stared. “On the balance balls.”
“Yes…”
“While wearing skirts.”
Aira shrunk. “Yes…”
Mr. Sato pinched his forehead. “Aira… Mei… why?”
The boys burst into laughter.
Mr. Sato shot them a glare. “You boys. Quiet.”
Instant silence.
Reina smirked, watching with satisfaction.
Aira looked down. “We just wanted to try…”
Mr. Sato sighed deeply. “You two are going to get injured if you keep doing stunts without telling me.”
Mei raised her hand. “Sensei… umm… it was fun?”
Aira nodded. “Very fun.”
Mr. Sato rubbed his temples. “Fun is not the issue here.”
He kneeled to pick up one of the balance balls.
Then he looked at Aira.
“You fell, didn’t you?”
Aira nodded slowly.
“And everyone saw.”
Aira nodded even slower.
Mr. Sato inhaled and exhaled dramatically.
Meanwhile, Reina and her villain trio smirked in the background like they just won a trophy.
The Unexpected Turn
But then something surprising happened.
Mr. Sato turned to Reina.
“And you three. Why are you here?”
Reina blinked. “Umm… we were…”
Mika whispered, “We were just—”
Satsuki swallowed, “Passing by?”
Mr. Sato raised an eyebrow. “Passing by inside the gym?”
Reina stiffened. “We were supervising.”
Mr. Sato shook his head slowly.
“You three have been reported twice this month for disturbing other students.”
The villain trio froze.
Aira and Mei’s jaws dropped.
Mr. Sato pointed to the door.
“You may leave. Right now.”
Reina turned pale. “Sensei, wait—”
“Now.”
The Perfect Trio quietly retreated, their heads lowered.
Aira and Mei watched in disbelief.
Aira whispered, “Did… sensei just save us?”
Mei whispered, “The way he sent them flying with only his voice… amazing.”
The boys snorted behind them.
Mr. Sato looked back at Aira.
“You two. Clean up the gym after school. That’s your consequence.”
Aira nodded quickly. “Yes, sensei.”
Mei saluted. “We will clean this entire country.”
Mr. Sato stared at her blankly.
Mei lowered her arm. “Sorry… got carried away.”
Mr. Sato sighed again. “Just don’t hurt yourselves next time.”
But Aira noticed something.
When Mr. Sato turned away, she caught the tiniest hint of a smile.
And her heart skipped.
Just a little.
Cleaning Duty and Something More
After school ended, the gym doors closed and it was only Aira, Mei, and Mr. Sato supervising from afar with paperwork.
Aira carried mats to the corner.
Mei stacked yoga blocks.
Mr. Sato walked over at one point. “Aira, do you need help with that?”
Aira shook her head. “I’m strong.”
Mei whispered, “Strong but clumsy.”
Aira kicked her lightly.
Mr. Sato chuckled softly. “Next time, if you want to practice balancing, call me first. I’ll teach you safely.”
Aira blushed. “Okay… sensei.”
Mei nudged Aira. “He likes you.”
Aira hissed, “Shut up.”
Mr. Sato tilted his head. “What was that?”
Aira panicked. “NOTHING!”
Mei laughed loudly.
By the time they finished, the gym was clean and quiet.
Aira grabbed her bag.
Mr. Sato approached her with a soft smile.
“Be careful on your way home. It might rain later.”
Aira nodded.
Mei whispered, “He really likes you.”
Aira whispered back, “Mei I swear I’ll throw you.”
They laughed together as they left the gym.
And although Aira wasn’t proud of falling off the balance ball earlier…
…she was definitely happy about how the day turned out.
